As a leading manufacturer of vascular grafts, endovascular and interventional devices, surgical meshes for hernia repair, and sutures, we are looking for a Manufacturing Operations Coordinator to join our team in Flagstaff, AZ.

- Coordinate manufacturing operations across the entire value stream (raw-materials delivery through warehousing) for our VIABAHN product
- Partner with manufacturing leaders and teams across the value stream to ensure strategy development and efficient product delivery
- Establish a strong partnership with all manufacturing support functions in multiple plants (including supplier management, engineering, planning, internal suppliers, quality assurance, maintenance, health and safety, finance, and human resources)
- Drive continuous improvement within the value stream and the operation as a whole
- Lead the VIABAHN manufacturing operation in preparation for changes in volume created by line extensions, study releases, new indications, and expansion into global markets
- Partner with multiple plant leaders, plant technical leaders, and the business operations leader for future manufacturing planning of the VIABAHN product

Responsibilities include:
Product Delivery
- Coordinating the manufacturing value stream to ensure product flow and delivery to meet the short- and long-term expectations of business stakeholders
- Removing barriers to delivery and continuous-improvement efforts and actively reinforcing lean manufacturing principles, including appropriate workforce flexibility, error proofing, single-piece flow, design for manufacturing, etc.
- Providing value-stream support for next-generation and line-extension projects during product design and design transfer
- Participating in manufacturing readiness reviews for next-generation and line-extension projects
Manufacturing Business Plan Development
- Developing strategy with plant leadership team, business operations leadership, business coordinators, and sales leadership to determine short- and long-term manufacturing focus
- Facilitating product transitions between plants
- Establishing manufacturing productivity initiatives, metrics, and goals across the value stream team in alignment with plant and business priorities and FY business planning
- Align manufacturing teams across the value stream to the manufacturing business plan.
Resource Planning
- Participating in the Sales & Operations Planning process to determine the resources needed to accomplish the manufacturing goals of the business
- Partnering with operations leadership, plant leaders, and engineering leaders to ensure that the right operations resources (skills and headcount) are available to support the commercial businesses, next-generation and line-extension projects, and operations of the value stream
Communication
- Participating in plant operations leadership teams to communicate the development and progress of execution of manufacturing strategy and metrics as they apply broadly to the value stream and locally to the plant
- Leading and facilitating communication between the manufacturing operations team and other teams at the facilities in order to meet value stream needs
General
- Driving improvement efforts for cost of goods sold
- Practicing, teaching, and promoting the Gore culture
- Developing relationships with manufacturing leaders and teams across the Cardiovascular business to accomplish divisional manufacturing initiatives
Development
- Leading and developing other leaders, manufacturing teams, and support associates; inspiring others
- Providing sponsorship, coordinating leadership, and influencing leadership development for bench-strength needs within the value stream
Qualifications
Required Job Qualifications
- Four-year degree, OR equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years ofhands on experience leading a team of diverse associates
- Experience in/with managing projects and leading improvement efforts
- Demonstrated results balancing multiple projects and priorities with competing resource needs
- Strong analytical skills
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication and computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) skills
- Ability to:
- Build consensus, articulate and communicate team vision, and establish clear direction, commitments, and alignment
- Understand and drive results effectively within the division's quality system requirements
- Consistently develop and execute plans to produce the intended results
- Coach, teach, and mentor
Desirable Job Qualifications
- Experience in/with medical-device manufacturing leadership
- Hands-on experience and demonstrated success using Operational Excellence/lean manufacturing tools
- Experience launching new products and line extensions
- Experience with or knowledge of ERP software to successfully plan and manage materials within the supply chain
