As a leading manufacturer of vascular grafts, endovascular and interventional devices, surgical meshes for hernia repair, and sutures, we are looking for a Manufacturing Leader to join our team in Flagstaff, AZ.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ownership for the effective manufacture of one or more medical device product lines
  • Lead other leaders and manufacturing teams
  • Develop leaders to create bench strength, leadership succession and a strong team
  • Ensure effective manufacturing compliance to quality system, regulatory and environmental health & safety requirements
  • Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning process to determine the resources needed to accomplish the manufacturing goals of the business
  • Plan for and ensure appropriate resources, skills and equipment are in place to meet current and future commercial product demand
  • Partner with engineering leadership to prioritize projects and ensure resource support for integrating new products into manufacturing
  • Develop and execute on a manufacturing strategy aligned with the business plan
  • Establish key manufacturing initiatives, metrics and goals for the team
  • Inspire the team through consistent communication, associate involvement and driving positive change
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts throughout the value stream to optimize manufacturing
The Manufacturing Leader will also be responsible for resolving performance issues and resolving conflict in a positive manner, utilizing all appropriate resources. They must be able to demonstrate system skills or learn skills related to interfacing with ERP, PLM and MES systems. The candidate chosen must be willing to sponsor / mentor associates.



Qualifications

Required Job Qualifications

  • BS in a technical or operations management degree, or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership experience
  • Ability to develop and execute plans, and consistently produce the desired results
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in issues of performance, setting and meeting expectations, and accountability
  • Excellent planning, team building and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication and computer skills
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with developing and managing forecasts
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Hands on experience and demonstrated success using operational excellence/lean manufacturing tools
  • Experience with or knowledge of ERP software to successfully plan and manage materials within the supply chain

Desirable Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in a medical device or regulated manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on knowledge of quality systems, e.g. ISO, cGMP
  • Passion for continuous improvement
  • Willingness to continue developing own technical and leadership skills
