As a leading manufacturer of vascular grafts, endovascular and interventional devices, surgical meshes for hernia repair, and sutures, we are looking for an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) Specialist to join our team in Flagstaff, AZ.
If you are searching for a company where you can make a difference, we're looking for you. In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain EH&S programs, practices, and procedures for the plant site and division.
The ideal candidate will:

Responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining plant and divisional EH&S programs, practices, and procedures
- Effectively addressing EH&S standards while meeting operational and business needs
- Training and coaching associates in related EH&S practices
- Leading EH&S reviews for processes and equipment and developing appropriate controls
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting health and safety metrics
- Coordinating with divisional environmental associates to ensure data collection and compliance with environmental programs
- Partnering with divisional, corporate, and global EH&S teams
- Maintaining a hazard communication program
- Conducting incident investigations and identifying corrective and preventive actions
- Engaging and participating with new-product development teams early in the design process to ensure ergonomic principles, safety controls, etc., are incorporated into design
Qualifications
Required Job Qualifications
- One of the following:
oBachelor's degree in Enviromental Health & Safety(EH&S) ora relateddiscipline AND two years of pertinent EH&S working experience in a manufacturing environment
o Associate's degree in Enviromental Health & Safety(EH&S) ora relateddiscipline AND five years of pertinent EH&S working experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated organizational priority-setting skills
- Attention to detail
- Established skills in developing and implementing practical and effective risk-reduction solutions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to:
- Build consensus and influence a diverse group of associates in safe behaviors and practices
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Work in a team-shared, 24-hour on-call environment
- Work occasional weekends and off-shift hours
- Travel up to 10%
- CSP certification by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
- Strong knowledge and understanding of chemical processes
- Experience in:
- Ergonomics
- Industrial hygiene
- Hazardous waste programs
- Process/equipment hazard risk-analysis tools
