As a leading manufacturer of vascular grafts, endovascular and interventional devices, surgical meshes for hernia repair, and sutures, we are looking for a Clean Room Maintenance Leader to join our team in Flagstaff, AZ.

In this role, you will lead maintenance activities at one of our manufacturing plants as well as perform hands-on maintenance work. You will partner with diverse teams within the facility as well as with other maintenance leaders and associates throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will:

Responsibilities include:
- Driving resource planning and hiring to ensure appropriate resources to support manufacturing equipment reliability and new equipment builds
- Partnering with engineering and manufacturing to understand needs and priorities
- Ensuring prompt and efficient responses to manufacturing equipment breakdowns and effective scheduled maintenance and calibration activities
- Maintaining a safe work environment and providing support for safety programs
- Establishing and communicating clear priorities and focus for the team
- Monitoring and understanding of each shop associate's contributions, holding individuals and the team accountable for meeting needs and expectations
- Promoting associate growth and development; providing mentorship and coaching
- Ensuring the team is trained in the Medical Products Division's quality system and ensuring team compliance with quality-system requirements
- Developing operational objectives and associated metrics for the shop
- Driving continuous-improvement efforts, including improving the equipment maintenance and calibration program
- Evaluating and installing new equipment to meet manufacturing and other facility needs
- Working cooperatively with other plants and associates to meet divisional needs
- Participating in division-wide shop-improvement activities
- Aligning shop procedures and practices within the Medical Products Division
- Developing and tracking compliance with capital and operating forecasts
- Championing and modeling the Gore culture
Qualifications
Required Job Qualifications
- A technical degree and 2 years' experience in a shop environment supporting manufacturing, OR 5 years' experience in a shop environment supporting manufacturing
- Strong mechanical/electrical skills and background
- Experience using maintenance management tools (e.g., work orders; CMMS programs such as Blue Mountain, 7i, PMC2000, etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership of a maintenance or shop team
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects and priorities
- Knowledge of ISO, cGMP, or other quality-system requirements as they apply to shop activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong documentation skills with superior attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse teams, both internally and externally
- Willingness to accept and drive change for continuous improvement
- Flexibility to work off-shift, weekends, and on-call as needed
Desirable Job Qualifications
- Experience in/with:
- Ultra-pure water systems
- Working in and maintaining clean rooms
- Medical-products manufacturing
- Repairing, maintaining, and calibrating manufacturing equipment
- Working in machine shops
- PLC- and PC-based machine control systems
- Reading and understanding mechanical and electrical drawings
- Knowledge of NFPA standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills
