Job Description
• Primary duties and responsibilities:
• The part-time web publishing supervisor will be responsible for leading the publishing team and help desk support as they assist the University Marketing department and users across the university in converting and creating department websites. Activities will primarily focus on publishing existing and new content in the university's web content management system (CMS), which includes, but is not limited to:
• Managing a team of part-time, temporary and student staff
• Overseeing and reporting on the daily activities of the publishing team, assigning duties based on priority and workload
• Learning and understanding all aspects of the publishing process
• Delivering superior customer service
• Making critical decisions on behalf of the publishing team and Publishing Lead, in accordance with established marketing and university policy
• Reviewing the team's output to ensure the work is of excellent quality and in line with established university strategic objectives, and to eliminate grammatical and formatting errors.
• Coordinating new features with developers and content team lead
• Performing quality control and cross-review of finished sites
• Sizing and uploading photos
Minimum Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience working with MS Office applications
• Demonstrated success with projects requiring efficiency and strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience working with MS Office applications
• Demonstrated success with projects requiring efficiency and strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated success in managing personnel
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Required:
• Proficient with MS Office applications, especially MS Word
• Basic understanding of web page fundamentals (pages, links, folders)
• Basic image manipulation (crop, resize)
• Efficient data entry (typing, application switching, copy/pasting)
• Extreme attention to detail, avoidance of input errors
• Scheduling experience
Preferred
* Publishing experience using a web editor
* Understanding of HTML code
General Information
Northern Arizona University requires satisfactory results for the following: a criminal background investigation, an employment history verification and a degree verification (in some cases) prior to employment. You may also be required to complete a fingerprint background check.

Salary
$15.00/hour.
